Environmental Cleanup Events
We organize regular environmental cleanup campaigns to keep natural areas clean. Together with our volunteers, we clean parks, beaches and forest areas, creating a more livable environment for both humans and animals. A clean nature means healthy stray animals — that's why environmental cleanup is not just an event for us, it's a way of life.
What Do We Do?
Beach Cleanup Campaigns
We organize regular cleanup events on Istanbul's beaches. We keep the shores clean by collecting plastic and waste to protect the habitats of marine life. We organize large-scale beach mobilizations especially at the beginning and end of summer season, cleaning kilometers of coastline with hundreds of volunteers. We record the type and quantity of waste we collect, gathering data about the extent of environmental pollution.
Forest and Park Cleanup
We clean natural habitats, primarily picnic areas, forest edges and parks. We try to prevent the pollution of animal habitats. We hold regular cleanup days in important green areas such as Belgrade Forest and Aydınlık Bahçe Grove. We create safe areas for both stray animals and wildlife by collecting waste that threatens natural life, such as broken glass, plastic bags and cigarette butts.
Waste Sorting Awareness
We sort the waste collected during cleanup events for recycling. We teach participants correct waste sorting methods. At each event, we aim to minimize our environmental impact by separating recyclable and non-recyclable waste. We approach our zero waste goal step by step by sending recyclable materials we collect to partner recycling facilities.
Community Events
Everyone can join our monthly cleanup events. Families, students and environmental volunteers come together to contribute to nature. Our events are not limited to just cleaning; our programs enriched with nature walks, picnics and environmental education offer both socialization and awareness opportunities. With special workshops for children, we aim to create environmental consciousness from an early age.
